RCS is just a set of messaging standards, it can't/won't bring feature-parity
...across different apps on different platforms.
Apple and Google (and others) will build in the specific RCS protocols and functionality in order to make the basic functions work better between different messaging apps, but it was never intended to make every feature of iMessage available and identical on Google Messages.
