Broke my L1 vertebrae into 4 pieces.
I was in extremely good shape and very strong. The fractures did not displace and the doctor said he’s never seen anyone not be paralyzed from that kind of break. Xrayed me 3 times a day for 3 days and he decided to not do surgery. Wore a back brace all summer.

I wrapped my arm two times around my handle bars. My mom had to peel them off. I stayed overnight in the hospital.
