And yet plenty of newer chains are opening locations all over the place.
Maybe it comes down more to changing tastes and people getting bored of the same chains they've been eating at for decades. Chipotle's, for example, is booming, with both new stores opening, record profits, and strong increasing sales in existing locations. Why is that?

Those restaurants mostly suck. Denny’s is trash. Many of the others are so over priced and mid food, they should shut
