To be fair, why would anyone expect an interest free loan to be paid off any
earlier than what is required? Giving him an interest-free 15-year loan is certainly questionable, but not completely uncommon for a high-ranking executive who is relocating.
I guess the real surprise is that someone as dumb as Larry Scott was smart enough to realize that it was in his best financial interest to pay it all of on the latest date possible.
