This narrative breaks down when you look at who we actually did sign. If the
coaches are recruiting based on what fans might be saying about recruits when they’re sophomores, they shouldn’t be college football coaches. They’re supposed to be better at determining who to recruit than fans are. “Winning” in this case is recruiting good players who contribute on the field.
