I know it wasn't necessarily the main focus of Haidt's research, but Tik Tok is really the most effective propaganda tool in human history. It absolutely absorbs people. I work in therapy with mostly college age people. The amount of people who talk about Tik Tok as the main source of news and medical/psych knowledge blows me away.
