I think they end up getting enough interest from 3-4 teams to get a late round pick for Zach. Not as a starter but as a developmental backup. Granted I don’t know the implications of the salary hit.
SF got a pick for the Lance under similar circumstances when they traded him to Dallas and he had even less game experience and more injuries.
