Mostly bad. I remember a BYU professor talking about expenses that had to be
Approved by the BOT. The example she used was a building needing a new AC unit and the response from President Hinckley was “should we spend this money on a new college AC unit or on a temple?” I don’t remember how she was part of that conversation, or if it was just hearsay. But it sure fits the narrative that the church doesn’t spend money unless it absolutely has to.
