He grew up in SLC and his family has been heavily involved with the University of Utah since the early 60's. He talked about attending student wards (when his dad was in leadership positions) and his belief that Utah was a substantially better spiritual environment. In his mind, those that attend U of U student wards really want to be there while BYU students just disappear and get lost in the shuffle.
He then mentioned how BYU was completely immoral because back in the 70's male BYU students would buy groceries and have the female students cook dinner for them. My dad talks about this and describes it as a great system to get better food and get to know girls. But my boss was horrified that the female students would come into the male student housing.
He then mentioned how Ted Bundy used to attend the U of U student wards on occasion.
So if I got it all straight, BYU is immoral because the male & female students ate meals together and the U of U wards were a better spiritual environment because Ted Bundy attended.
You've got love true yewt logic.
