If you understand your $ ceiling and clinical limits, it's a great profession.
I've never once regretted going to PA school over med school. I make decent money. My debt out of school is higher than I'd like but that's also because I went through PA school with wife and kids in a major urban center.

I definitely think there'll be opportunity in the future career wise for your daughter if she chooses that path. I partially agree with hebercreeper in that quality of care may suffer eventually if legislators continue to be recklessly liberal in loosening laws and supervision around PA practice. I went into PA school knowing full and well that I'd be supervised in my practice. I think there is a small window of need for independent PA practice in primary care, but only after having X(many) years of supervised practice. I have zero intentions of ever practicing independently, though I also work in orthopedic surgery.
