Of Atlanta the schools suck. Private schools are everywhere and expensive. Yet GA has the lottery that goes directly to school funding and the Hope scholarship that pays for college assuming you go to a state school and have the grades to get in and out in four years

My granddaughter is in Jr High in a very well respected Private school and just won the school award for her grade. Not the top student but the student who puts forth the best effort

She doesn’t want to go to BYU. Her interactions with Mormons is that the kids are all weird home schoolers. It’s true if the parents can’t afford private school. They are backed into a corner.

Sadly for my granddaughter she is set on goin to Georgia for free, a top public school and then on to med school. Her dad is a doctor in Georgia. Going to be interesting she is coming to BYU swim camp and bringing a non member this week. Right now she is a ranked swimmer in Georgia for The breaststroke for 16 and under
