Bottom line, this is more a general rating. I kind of figured everyone would go and immediately look at BYU and I get it....but this wasn't a look at where BYU fits, but more a big picture guide for realignment and where teams generally will end up. Like I said, I get that the immediate focus is on BYU, but that's not what it's intended to be about
Also, just as an FYI saying an extra $4M-$5M per Big 12 team is falling prey to exaggeration. Jim Williams said he heard $2M-$4M, another writer said $2M. BamaCoug did the math with $2.5M, which is a fair estimate.
If the number were $5M, that would imply BYU to be worth $27M + 12 x $5M = $87M. Frankly, I don't believe our valuation to be that high or we'd already have a B1G or SEC invite. Reality is that those schools like money as much as anyone else. But I do think this list understates BYU value for sure (for the reasons addressed above)
