I don’t understand this opinion.
I love college football. I get that there are a large number of bowls and obviously some of those games are much more meaningful than others. Nevertheless, I can’t think of a single year that Byu has gone to a bowl game that I haven’t enjoyed it regardless of how average they might have been in some of those seasons. In my opinion, more football is good. Why can’t we just accept that some bowl games are more meaningful than others, but enjoy them all.

Participating in a bowl game helps with program development for the schools involved by giving them additional practice time. It’s a reward for teams for a season that was average to great.
