5 states to 8 states is talking about UCF, BYU, Cinci and BYU.
They had Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa and West Virginia.
They added Utah, Ohio and Florida (and already had Texas).
His population numbers are probably about the old expansion as well. 40 mil to 75 mil (meaning he's counting all of Ohio and all of Florida for Cinci and UCF. Which, sure.)
