A fifth wheel let's you go bigger and heavier. I've never driven one but I am told turning and backing is a tad easier too. But you need to have a specific vehicle with a specific set up to hook up. I use the bed of my truck and didn't want the hassle of working around fifth wheel equipment. I like the flexibility of using my truck in multiple ways with needing to change out equipment. I also like that my wife's next car (Jeep GC L or Wagoneer if I can convince her) can pull the trailer if needed.
