Also, the draft rules were very different when they had high picks. Celtics traded 2 stars at the very tail end of their careers. Same for Memphis and Gasol. Lakers don't even apply. Cavs don't either. Different situations for both. How has it worked out for Philly or Indy to this point?
None of those teams traded away both young stars who were under contract at the time. I'm fine with the Jazz trading Gobert IF they get a lot of value in return and don't just give him away to 'burn it down' and hope for good draft picks.
