actually Seabuckthorn berry is good stuff
the problem with most of these "berries" is the way they are produced and how much of it you get. Most MLM's tend to front load their products in commissions, so they can maintain their pyramid schemes. But when you really examine their products you find that they either reduce the concentrations that would actually be effective, or they add other crapola to the mix that defeat the whole purpose of the product.

My wife for example buy's USANA vitamins. (Actually very good vitamins), they seem to be the most effective vitamins we've ever purchased. Naturally the distributor wanted my wife to try more products, due to my wifes MS, we always investigate each product carefully so we don't cause her problems later. Plus my father is a health nut (in the fondness sense of the word), and he has done allot of research on alternative treatments. Anyway, we purchased their protein shakes, and unfortunately we found that USANA add's a large concentration of Corn Syrup to their product, defeating the purpose of getting the shake in the first place. This is just one example, but I've seen Xocai selling Chocalate OMEGA bars, but most of their distributors don't realize that the Omega 3 that they loudly proclaim as beneficial is probably useless by the time it gets to the consumer (Omega 3's breakdown in unrefrigerated environments).

So if it's a MLMer attempting to sell health, I'll politely listen, then take some of their sample products, do my own research, then run down to Good Earth or Wild Oat's and buy the product retail!! Save allot of money that way, and it's usually much better product.
