I wrote this for someone who was flying in/out of Geneva and not skiing
Switzerland is such a beautiful country. You could take the train to Lausanne and take a tour of the Chateau Chilon. Continue around the lake to Chamonix, France. It's a very fun ski town. Take the tram to see the top of the Aiguille du Midi. Drive through one of Switzerland's most beautiful cantons (Valais) to Zermatt. You've got to see the Matterhorn. Then North to see Interlaken. It's one of my favorite places in Switzerland. You can put a car on the train and they'll take you through a long mountain tunnel. Grindelwald at the foot of the Eiger is incredible. You could continue North to Bern. Plenty to see in Bern. It's a big city. Then start heading back toward Geneva. Go see the Chateau Gruyeres (the cheese is named for this city if you did not already know that) and have some fondue there! Find a local and enjoy some Raclette too if you can pull it off. Drink something cold during both meals. The Swiss will lose their minds. They're certain that if you drink something cold with fondue or Raclette that the cheese will harden in your stomach and send you to the ER.
