Now, given this was 2002, I haven't found out if THIS law has since been amended. I've looked, but so far haven't found
anything subsequently amending S.B. 52 as it was written in 2002. My main question was regarding the crossing of the double white line, because it is illegal to cross, so was wondering if a subsequent law took this into account (saying something like yielding the lane when LEGALLY able to do so, i.e. when the line is broken). When S.B. 52 was written in 2002, the carpool lane was still separated by a single solid line, not the double white which was introduced shortly after.
