ATV, Snowmobiling, Skiing, Rock climbing, world class fishing, Camping, Awesome Water skiing, BYU football, hang gliding, base jumping yes, seen this in Rock Canyon), Caving, awesome cycling, Mountain biking.
You can do all of that, and MUCH FASTER, than you can in Seattle. Oh yeah, and it doesn't rain here all that much. Plus, you can't beat our Summer evenings.
Love Seattle...but if you wanna have a good time. There's quicker access to great stuff, right here.
The other stuff was the surrounding area (w/in 5 hour drives...then Utah provides way more...IMO)
If I want the ocean, I'll goto So. Cal., and in his case, that would be a 10 hour drive to home.
Just this week, my brother and I went up the Canyon...took the ATV's to the back side of twin peaks (Snowbird), than over to Cascade Springs and Deer Valley - All of this from 7:30 - 10:30 am. Not bad for no planning.
Also, forgot to mention the great cheap Golf, and can't forget great tubing, sledding, etc.
