...I have a hard time saying that Newman and Checketts were "perpetuating" rumors on the radio. They said there was no evidence, no one had come forward, etc. I didn't take him saying "if anyone has evidence send it to me and I'll be happy to source it" as a plea for someone to out BYU/Chandler. I took it more as calling people out for talking rumors without evidence and without being willing to go on the record with their rumor.

Look - I'm not saying Newman is an awesome dude or anything. Just that it's a bit of a stretch to say someone is spreading false rumors when they explicitly say that they are only rumors and there's no evidence of them.
