One risk would be lack of oxygen due to decreased heart rate. It may be symptomatic of an underlying problem with the heart. I imagine WebMD would have some decent info on it. Or you could wait for some CB doctors to reply with solid advice.

If your resting heart is much under 60 you may want to check on a pace maker.
