Personally, I kind of like the step back three step.
It has added an element of moving away from the basket that defenses haven’t been able to figure out. And it often results in guys getting burned on the perimeter, which is fun to watch too.
My only complaint is that it too often gets used to bait people into fouling rather than playing for a basket. But overall, it’s an element to the game that I like.
