Everyone gets that. No one misses that point. Disagreement is not over whether

or not that would be lost, but 100% about whether or not that would be missed. Whether or not the game would lose more from the change than it would gain. The “strategy” proponents like to crap all over anyone who isn’t enamored of watching pitchers hit and don’t care that much about that particular aspect of strategy as Neanderthals that just care about home runs and don’t “get” the game like real baseball fans do. It’s silly.
