Then say "should his friend chat with him?" Why throw the bishop in it?
Or do you really think the bishop needs to be involved and then changed it to a "friend"? Absolutely zero reason a bishop should reach out to this guy. If he is a friend, sure talk with him. But as a church leader, that is not needed in any shape or form.
