Active LDS home, but my dad didn’t think anything of the family watching such entertaining shows together, regardless of rating.
In my view, this show how our views of the media and what is appropriate to watch has become much more specific with clearer lines being drawn and somewhat universally agreed upon.
My parents were a little bit hippies and didn’t think kids needed to be shielded as much as we do now. By about 10 years after those movies came out, rated R movies were generally out of the house.
