Obviously the ideal situation is to move to a new job with higher pay AND a better quality of life. But if you already get paid way more than you need, but are not enjoying your job, it's worth it to take a pay cut to change to a more enjoyable job.

That being said - I think moving to the AAC is the equivalent of getting paid less at your job and having the same (or worse) quality of life.
