...why Rose gave him so much control over the team. I think Rose hoped that Schroyer would deal with it and keep kids in line. I think it was a pretty clear indicator that Rose had lost his passion and should've retired instead of trying to string it out as long as he could. I think many on CB realized he lost his mojo for coaching, what's a little bit of a head scratcher is why Holmoe gave him the one year extension? Was it sort of a hope on his part to motivate Rose a little more/coax a little more "wanna" out of Rose? Or was it more of a "thank you for your service and success here's a nice parting gift (contract extension)"?
