And if they are using Takitaki that way but Barton still has more sacks and TFL that should tell you something. The fact is that while Hansen is elite, watching him and Barton there really isn't that big of a difference. The last few games of last year and this year Barton has been playing at an extremely high level.
Again, Takitaki is a very nice player, but the questionis whether he would start ahead of anyone for the U. I can guarantee the U would not be lining him up much as a stanup end, as they have much better options there. Takitaki is good, but he's a bit of a tweener such that he would not get many reps at DE for the U, and because Barton is a more complete LB Takitaki would be a backup and situational player. Again, nothing wrong with that, he's a very goopd player, just not a great match for this Utah team.
