The limiting factor would not be fear of the person or awe of their accomplishments - rather it would be the constraints and graces of polite society. You generally don’t go up to someone and tell them they suck at their job (incidentally, it’s also in rather poor taste to tell someone they look tired and ready to move on). But if I was on a panel, with Detmer and Sitake in the same room, I would be confident and comfortable critiquing their performance.
So go ahead and pat yourself on the back, you boor. Because of your lack of social competence, you didn’t have a problem being too forward with Bronco. But don’t confuse our compliance with social conventions with a lack of chutzpah.
