Boise and Hawaii got in BCS games because SOS was purposely removed from the BCS
formula.
The committee was designed to alleviate that issue.
I’m not saying the AAC would get it every single year but I think easily 4/5 years they would- often enough to create separation between them and the rest of the G5.
