This is the only way to come close.
The money would be a wash, probably. The AAC is set to get a bigger TV deal than their current one (they've had good ratings since their inception), and by adding BYU (national brand, travel well), Boise (national brand, travel well), AFA (service academy, travel well... national brand plus now you own the Commander in Chief trophy games), and SDSU (large TV market) you add two more time zones and 4 attractive TV markets to your inventory.
Also, BYU and SDSU are consistent NCAA tournament teams so you increase your basketball profile (another important point for the AAC- they added Wichita State for this reason alone).
And again, you get the G5 autobid nearly every year so you get to keep that money too.
Ultimately no one knows for sure but I can't imagine the AAC turning down that opportunity to maintain the status quo.
