The combination of the "Me" culture and the cutthroat business
that has become the NCAA, where kids can't profit from the use of their images/talents, is a recipe for failure, and destroys any semblance of school loyalty or pride.

You might have more of a chance of BYU kids caring about the legacy because they were brought up as big fans, and because they have a higher likelihood of staying 4 years (Although even this may be changing, with grad transfer rules and mission age change)...
