Where did Wichita find Marshall? He was a first time head coach in that basketball powerhouse league the Big South.

See how things look a little better already? Were BYU in the position to do so, they had the financial resources to hire any of those three if they had spotted their talent. Many of the greatest coaches out there were originally promoted from assistant positions or were promoted from smaller schools in smaller leagues.
