In reality, the truth of what's going on with P5 expansion probably lies between the two extremes. Expansion may happen. It may not. The fact is, BYU is a strong candidate for inclusion in a P5 conference. Doesn't guarantee they'll get in. Then again, they might get in. We just don't know yet.

Let's not get too far up the road of either extreme, especially if we're just speculating and have little or no insider knowledge.
