I guess I don't agree with your premise. Bronco and KWhitt have shown through the years that a basic no surprise defense that is assignment sound and does the little things brings success. Gadgets do not compensate for poor execution and often only enhance it. The BYU defense is lacking in execution and our lack of experience/talent at corner is getting exposed, even when we compensate.
