You ever crack wise about something that you thought was 80% the truth, but you
made it a joke to take the edge off? That's exactly how I imagine it coming out, and how I would expect a competent executive to address an issue like that.
I have no reason to doubt that the discussions about the program occurring on Cougarboard right now would be irritating to the decision-makers in the athletic program. And the lack of official affiliation with the university that puts it outside their control absolutely rankles plenty of people who want all discussion of BYU to go through official channels. But those guys should be uncomfortable - they're overseeing a simmering pot that could pretty quickly boil over.
