It was made to specifically be a helmet logo. It didn't catch on as an apparel
logo till Bronco promoted it as the official logo.

While it's become quite popular with our fanbase, I don't think it's an attractive enough letterform to be persuasive to a neutral audience.

BYU marketing has done a lot to cover up it's aesthetic failings by adding shading & coloring in its advertizing, & in some of its product designs.
