He told me the story, or at least how he saw it. The part of the BYU fan taking pictures is accurate but it was not of Kyle's family. It was of the Ute players walking off the field. Kyle's son grabbed the phone and a "fight" broke out. Kyle's wife jumped in to break it up and was hit by flailing arms. Kyle's wife gets on the news and talks about how she was attacked by a BYU fan. Kyle's son was successful in his battle for the phone and threw it onto the field. It was never recovered and a new one was purchased by the Whittingham family. If it went down how the Whittingham's initially said it did there would have been assault charges filed etc. There is a reason this died on the vine. I never heard whether this BYU fan had a potty mouth. If someone grabbed my phone and threw it I would probably cuss too.
