The salesman actually expressed this concern when I bought my note 2

about how self-conscious he would feel about using it as a regular phone holding it up to his ear. My thought at the time was that I could care less about looking trendy. It's still smaller than home phones, and much smaller than older corded phones. I don't know why it would be an issue other than style, and it hasn't been for me.
