Severance thoughts and theories
I don’t post often. Nor do I read the board’s posts on the show as I am typically a couple days behind.

Theory.
The point of Gemma’s multiple severances, as far as I can tell, is to strip a person of all vestiges of their former life, as stresses (tempers) tend to bring out latent parts of their former selves. So the final test was to have Gemma wear her clothes when she left Mark, and seeing if the crib would trigger her true self (outtie) to come through.
That part I think everyone understands. But the reality is that Jame wants an heir that he can “see kier in” them. And Helly was the closest among his progeny. But in growing up she lost that. But her innie shows those glimpses. All innies are basically a child, a new person, but they are still tainted by their real selves, at least up to 25 versions. So Jame wants Helly to be the new Kier, he wants that pure essence she had when she was a child. What that means I don’t know. Other than they will try and make 25 severed versions of her to be able to attain that version of Helly. The new Kier, an heir, possibly a religious like figure that Kier was.

As far as next season goes I feel that it will be Gemma trying to rescue Mark. In a role reversal. I think Kobel will play a huge role in exposing and dismantling lumon with her knowledge of how severance works since it was her brain child. Possibly making some sort of way to break it.
I do wonder how all this will play out.

Maybe someone can shed some light on somethings I have some questions on:
1. The map to the elevator was drawn by Irving’s son. Do we know anything about that? Did I miss anything about that? I feel like I did. Like is his son similar to Gemma? Is he there and Irving was working on his numbers? If I missed this, let me know.
2. What is milchick’s story. Is he the milchick that is a reporter, is he undercover? Is he a family member? Beyond the name, his “verbose” language hints at something in the connection, but I am wondering if someone has more thoughts.
