Edited: Sorry all. I guess I'm not allowed to post pictures. I did link to them below.
Taking into consideration as many ideas as I could remember from CB, I asked DALL-E to reimagine the football stadium of Brigham Young University, Lavell Edwards Stadium. 1. The current stadium seats just less than 65,000. Let's increase the capacity to 85,000. Try to make sure everyone has the best view possible of the game. You will probably have to create two tiers in order to accomplish this. 2. Instead of benches, every person should get a seat with a backrest and armrests. 3. Include luxury boxes. 4. Make the screens larger. 5. Preserve, as much as possible, the view of the iconic mountain scenery created by the Wasatch mountains to the east of the stadium for people attending the game.
The verbal description was as follows (or if you want, just skip to the pictures below):
Lavell Edwards Stadium: Expanded and Enhanced
- Capacity Increase and Improved Views
Seating Capacity: Increased to 85,000 through the addition of a second tier.
Lower Tier: Maintains the original structure with upgraded seating. Seats are re-angled slightly to optimize sightlines toward the field.
Upper Tier: Built above the lower tier with a gradual slope, ensuring no obstructed views. The design incorporates overhangs with supporting columns set back to minimize visual intrusion for the lower tier.
End Zones: Incorporate wraparound seating to maintain a cohesive stadium design while keeping the field visible from every angle.
- Individual Seating
All seating is upgraded to individual ergonomic chairs with:
Padded backrests and seats.
Adjustable armrests for comfort.
Cupholders integrated into armrests.
Wider aisles and additional legroom are included for better accessibility.
- Luxury Boxes and Premium Seating
Luxury Boxes: Added on both sides of the stadium at the mezzanine level, providing premium amenities:
Climate-controlled environments.
Private restrooms.
Catering and entertainment options.
Club Level Seating: Mid-tier seating with exclusive lounges, premium concessions, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Enhanced Screens and Technology
Two massive HD video boards were placed in the north and south ends of the stadium, each three times the size of the current screens, with 4K resolution.
Smaller screens strategically located in the upper tier for replays and game stats.
- Preserving the Scenic View
The stadium structure is designed to frame the Wasatch Mountains:
Open corners in the upper tier allow unobstructed views of the mountains.
Use of glass panels on the upper-tier walls and luxury boxes to reduce visual barriers.
The placement of video boards and structures ensures minimal interference with the iconic eastern view.
- Other Features
Sustainable Materials: The design includes energy-efficient systems and materials to reduce environmental impact.
Lighting Upgrade: Enhanced LED lighting for better nighttime visibility and reduced light pollution.
Sound System: State-of-the-art acoustics for clear announcements and music without overwhelming the natural ambiance.
- Fan Experience
Expanded concourse areas with shaded seating, concessions, and additional restrooms.
Dedicated family zones with interactive features for children.
Improved parking and access through additional shuttle services and bike-friendly areas.
This design combines increased capacity, fan comfort, and technological advancements while preserving the natural beauty that makes Lavell Edwards Stadium unique.
Here are the image renderings. In some ways, they look like (Saldivar) Dalí designed it. You'll note, of course, that the corners are filled in:
