Funny experience in Seneca Falls (AKA Bedford Falls) yesterday - drove in to
town to go check out some of the IAWL sites (the bridge and a couple of others) as well as the historic location of the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention that launched the women's suffrage movement.

Was surprised to find the streets of the quaint old town clogged with swarms of people in Santa outfits, Grinch outfits and other Christmas paraphernalia and in running gear swarming to the bridge where Clarence saves George Bailey.

5,000 people jam-packed onto that bridge to trot along in "It's a Wonderful Run." Seemed like a big healthy happy event and then started noticing that there were, at regular intervals, huge tables out from area breweries handing out half pint cups of various lagers and ales, so some of the people weren't really running in straight lines by the end of the race (became apparent that some had started drinking BEFORE the run).

So if triathlons and actual marathons don't fit the cut of your jib consider signing up for "It's a Wonderful Run."

Cool little town though.
