The inevitability of winter storm driving
We’ve been fortunate to send all of our boys to BYU. They all had options to go further away but they love/loved BYU and that’s where they went. In many respects it’s much more convenient to send them close to home, we are just a 5 hour drive away. The challenge is that in our region there’s an 8 month window of potential for bad weather and difficult driving. They’ve been in the car for many of these trips but driving in them is a whole different scenario.

Such is the case as one of our boys will leave today to get home for the holidays. I remember many trips when we were at BYU through some sketchy weather. We always made it home…only went off the road once. We gave him all the tips, advice and instructions but he’s on his own and needs to gain the experience. Parenting is fun.
