How is BYU able to do their At&t alumni plan and no other school does it? I
assume it is somehow beneficial to both AT&T and BYU to do this, but, as far as I can tell, no other school offers this to their alumni.
I’m not complaining. It’s awesome. Just curious what the inner workings are to make it possible.

At $19 a month? You can get 5%-10% discounts, but nothing like what BYU is

I haven’t heard of this for BYU. Is the discount significant?

After taxes/fees it's about $22/month for an unlimited data plan.

Yes. We just got my mom signed up in Washington. Just need to be BYU alum.

I don’t suppose they tie it in with ‘sign up and get a free iPhone’ incentive…

No. No other extra perks I am aware of either.

Depending on the phone you can get a slight discount. Usually not the newest

I pay about $22 per month per line (2 lines) and it’s great coverage and data.

Coverage for me in Utah has been worse than Verizon and T-Mobile. Considerably

I think a current student could start a plan if they are employed by the school.

Good news is you only need a BYU Alumnus friend. You don’t have to be an alumnus
