Heinz57 Intervention Needed
I find this troublesome...

You mean, there is a correct way to run a route or not.

So, that means if players are still doing this in game 9,10 and 11 of the season, then what are they really doing in practice. I think it is incorrect to say: practice makes perfect. It should be perfect practice makes perfect. That means if the OC and WR coach are watching the play and the routes in practice and they are incorrect, that they STOP it immediately, address it and correct it, then run it correctly. How else will anyone know what is correct or not IF it isn't being addressed.

And further more, why wait until the half to correct, or after the game to correct known issue? This is crazy that such things go on all the time, only to surface on "show" saying, yeah, WR were making mistakes. Coach, sounds like you really need to be teaching correct principals.

Also players, IF you continue to do things correctly and can't seem to learn, then ride the pine. Get someone in there to do things correctly. Egos, must be left at the door.

Talk about self imploding....makes total sense...

P.S. About zone or man...In man coverage, slants, crossing routes, are best used...why? because one step that a WR has over a CB, means that CB is beat, AND a good QB will place the ball in the correct location. As for zone coverage, you find the soft spot and either settle right or left in that spot. You can tell which way a WR will break, just look at the WR belt...never follow the upper body....
