A reminder of possible playoff possibilities depending on outcome

Lots of wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth that our season is over and a waste (though we're starting to come back to earth and realize we still have lots of opportunity ahead).  So here's how things likely play out depending on the rest of the season

It's a worse spot than we were a week ago... but absolutely not reason to despair

12-1 (loss in regular season, wins CCG): BYU gets an autobid, almost certainly the #4 spot, but possibly still #3 depending how other CCGs go

11-2 (both losses in regular season, wins CCG): Tough to make the CCG, but not an impossibility.  In this scenario, we still get an autobid, #4 seed is most likely but an outside chance we could be bumped by Boise St and end up around #9-#11 or so.

11-2 (one regular season loss + loss in CCG): Right on the edge of the playoff - depends a lot on how other teams finish and any upsets, but a true bubble team.  I'd say less than likely to make it since we'd have Oregon, Ohio St, Penn St, Indiana, Texas, Notre Dame, ACC Champ, Big 12 Champ, G5 Champ taking up 9 spots and then be in competition with Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, BYU, and the ACC runner-up for the last 3 spots.  Again, not an impossibility, but it'll be tough to compete with the perception of those SEC teams

10-2 (2 losses in regular season, no CCG apperance): Almost certainly not in the playoff.  See above scenario, but consider that we're a bit weaker.  Long odds get even longer.

10-3 (3 losses in regular season, win CCG):  This is .... extremely unlikely, both that we would lose both remaining games and also that we get into the CCG if we do so. In this case, we're still in via autobid, but quite likely the #12 seed. (After last week, I actually think this result is impossible, we can no longer get to CCG with 3 losses, but I'm leaving this here in case there exists some obscure convoluted tiebreaker that somehow sneaks us in)

10-3 (2 losses in regular season + loss in CCG): Definitely not in the playoff

9-3 (losing both remaining regular season games, not making CCG): Definitely not in the playoff

9-4 (losing both remaining regular season games, somehow still make the CCG and then lose there as well): Definitely not in the playoff
