EREV is an interesting option. Seems like it's gaining steam amongst other manufacturers

I think it and plug in hybrids make a lot more sense than a straight EV truck

They licensed software from Rivian but this is a new platform.

The gas extender is interesting. There is an option where you can upgrade to over 500miles of range. The way it works is

There will be a small engine, a generator. No power to the wheels, just a generator.

I think that diesel-electric locomotives operate in a similar way. But it's certainly a neat way

I would imagine it reduces "range anxiety" by quiet a bit knowing you've got the gas backup
