last year was the SECs worst season in a decade and their champ was only the 4th best champ.
this year has been just as bad or worse, cause their best teams are worse than last year.

what does that mean? the conference is deeper than ever. this is the toughest the SEC has ever been. yet they lose almost every tough non conference game and lose or almost lose to a bunch of sun belt and mac teams.

what do their fans say? not a single big ten or big 12 team would go .500 in the SEC.

vandy lost to a sun belt team. they are a .500 team and beat bama and took mizzou to double OT.

LSU lost to one of the worst big ten teams. aTm lost to ND at home. those are the top 2 teams in the SEC standings right now.

south carolina has taken almost everyone they’ve played to the very end. they beat old dominion by 4.

auburn lost to cal. at home. in one of the “toughest places to play in the country” auburn hasn’t won a P4 home game in since OCT 28th last year. they got blown out by NMSU last year. lost to cal this year. lost to OUs worst team in over 25 years this year.

arkansas lost to the last place big 12 team.

OU beat the actual worst team in the big 12 by 4 at home.

florida got blown out at home by miami. miami has barely beaten 3 of their ACC wins. only won at least 1 of those cause of the refs.

bama lost to vandy and almost lost to USF before the refs stepped in. almost lost to south carolina too.

the sport being run by perceptions is a great way to ruin the sport. it always has been run by perceptions, but it was at least defendable how they did it. but the SEC might be the worst P4 conference this year and yet will get the most teams in the playoffs and have the most teams ranked because they are “deeper”. the reality is that their bad teams still suck, but their good teams suck just as much now. and their fans double down refusing to admit it’s a down year. because they all seem to believe good football only exists in the SEC and it is *impossible* for the SEC to not be the best. if you ask why a team lost a game, it’s cause they beat themselves. meanwhile not a single big 12 team has beaten themselves against OSU.
