Does anybody else think that the Hinkley Ropati INT
Should have been called for tripping or something like that. Or was it just an accidental trip?

Do the rules specify if it's accidental is ok?

If they think it's incidental contact. But, it was defensive holding before that

It shouldn’t have been called at all. That was an ARod special. We were moving

Poorly designed play to middle of the field, even more poorly executed

I’m sure you had the same thought on the TD to LJ last week
Charles Darwin
Oct 19, 5:09pm
That was a better play design, less risky, and better executed

Less risky? He threw into triple coverage

And then way underthrew it

Of course, way less risky to go to the sideline than to the middle.

Not when the ball is thrown short. If you take risk out of a sideline throw it's

Many coaches like to put stuff on film just to make Ds prepare for it. ARod

Not even sure it was incidental, no penalty but horrible throw.

The ball wasn’t even close to the receiver. The play was a bad play call. BYU

Oct 19, 5:00pm
It wasn’t close to the receiver because of the contact by the defender that

It’s useless- argued the same point last night but I’m not one of the smart

I didn’t say that. I don’t think the pass into essentially triple coverage on

I agree with you. Ropati didn’t realize with the speed of the game it

I could be wrong, but if you go back and watch the play, the ball didn’t even get to the tripped receiver if it went way

The receiver fell down. It wasn’t a good throw, but the receiver would have been

So you didn’t think that the pass was underthrown And intercepted before it even got to the tripped receiver?
KYU

What does that even mean? Let me make this simple.
cougaman
Oct 19, 9:05pm
It’s obviously not simple if we both obviously are struggling to comprehend what the other is thinking.
KYU

The ball was 50 feet in the air. The receiver would have adjusted and been close

Ropati should’ve been called for a bad decision and even worse throw

Bad call. BYU just need to run the ball before getting cute. Bad execution.

Your backup RB should never be throwing a pass, ever

It was a terrible play call but there was a defensive hold. Long before the ball
